5. Author Policy

Objective: Define responsibilities and rights of authors.

5.1 Preface

The International Journal of Business and Social Dynamics (IJBSD) is committed to publishing High-Quality, Original Research in Business, Economics, Finance, and related fields. To ensure Integrity, Transparency, and Accountability, IJBSD has established this Author Policy outlining the responsibilities, rights, and expectations of authors at all stages of the publication process from submission to post-publication.

5.2 Scope and Applicability

This policy applies to all individuals who:

  • Submit manuscripts to IJBSD
  • Are listed as co-authors on any submission
  • Interact with the journal editorial office in the capacity of Author, Contributor, or Corresponding Author

Compliance with this policy is a condition for manuscript consideration and publication.

5.3 Authorship Criteria

Authors must meet the following standards:

  • Substantial contributions to Conception, Design, Acquisition, Analysis, or Interpretation of data
  • Drafting or critically revising the manuscript for Intellectual Content
  • Final approval of the version to be published
  • Accountability for all aspects of the work, ensuring Accuracy and Integrity

5.4 Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors must:

  • Ensure originality and that work has not been previously published
  • Accurately report data, methodology, and findings
  • Disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources
  • Follow ethical guidelines for research involving humans or animals
  • Submit work through IJBSD’s online submission system, adhering to all formatting and documentation guidelines
  • Respond promptly and thoroughly to editorial and peer review comments

5.5 Order of Authorship

  • Reflect relative contributions of each author
  • The corresponding author is responsible for:
    • Communicating with the journal
    • Ensuring all co-authors approve the final manuscript
    • Managing revisions, proofs, and publication agreements
  • Changes to authorship after submission require:
    • Written consent from all authors
    • Justification to the editorial office

5.6 Plagiarism and Originality

IJBSD enforces a zero-tolerance policy:

  • Direct copying without attribution is prohibited
  • Self-plagiarism must be clearly cited
  • Improper paraphrasing is unacceptable
  • Submissions are screened with Turnitin®; plagiarized manuscripts may be rejected or banned

5.7 Conflicts of Interest and Funding Disclosure

Authors must disclose:

  • Financial relationships (grants, consulting fees, stock ownership)
  • Non-financial interests (personal/professional relationships)
  • Institutional support or affiliations that could influence the manuscript
    Conflict of Interest statements are published with the article

5.8 Manuscript Types Accepted

IJBSD accepts:

  2. Review Articles – comprehensive evaluations of existing literature
  3. Conceptual Papers – theoretical frameworks or models
  4. Policy Papers – research with direct relevance to policy-making

5.9 Submission and Review Process

5.9.1 Submission

  • Submit via IJBSD’s official platform
  • Include all required elements (cover letter, title page, abstract, keywords, references)
  • Format manuscript according to submission guidelines

5.9.2 Peer Review

  • Initial editorial screening for scope, quality, and plagiarism
  • Double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers
  • Editorial decision based on reviews and author revisions
  • Editorial team reserves the right to reject at any stage

5.10 Revisions and Resubmissions

  • Respond to all reviewer comments point-by-point
  • Highlight changes in the manuscript

  • Failure to comply may result in withdrawal

5.11 Acceptance and Proofing

  • Authors receive a proof version for review

5.12 Copyright and Licensing

IJBSD supports Open Access under Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0):

  • Authors retain full copyright

5.13 Post-Publication Responsibilities

5.14 Appeals and Complaints

5.15 Author Misconduct

Includes:

  • Plagiarism
  • Data manipulation
  • Ghost authorship
  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest
  • Misrepresentation of contributions

Consequences may include:

  • Manuscript rejection or retraction
  • Notification to author’s institution or funder
  • Temporary or permanent ban from future submissions
